Each #ThrowbackThursday, I bring back one question from my archives. This one is from Infinite Zounds from Dec 2013.
"I Swallowed the Moon" is a 2013 book by Saba Mahmood Bashir, which analyses the works of a well-known poet and writer. Among others, the book discusses the use of certain metaphors identified with the poet.
Who is the subject of this book?

A fan of the NYT game ‘Connections’ or the TV show Connections? Then check out चार यार (‘Chaar Yaar’), a Connections-style game by Vinay Jain.
Some of you will remember I had recently linked to a list of Asha Bhonsle Desert Island songs. This was featured on Giitaayan, a site that curates different aspects of Hindi film songs, including an annual roundup of Hindi film songs (to me the best way to discover good songs each year). Vinay is both the brains and the muscle behind the site - bookmark it if you enjoy Hindi film music. ‘Chaar Yaar’ is in its infancy; a new puzzle is posted on Saturdays. Feedback can be sent to Vinay (at giitaayan@gmail.com)
Answer
Gulzar, the poet, writer, and film lyricist. The book's title refers to a line from a song he wrote for the film 'Omkara'. More on the book here.
